About Me
Welcome to Therapy with Geeta, a confidential and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace within 1-to-1 psychotherapy sessions.
I offer integrative psychotherapy, drawing on Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Existential approaches to support you in finding clarity, meaning, and balance in your life.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or disconnected, therapy can help you reconnect with yourself and navigate life’s challenges with greater understanding and self-compassion.
Sessions are held online via Zoom, providing you with flexibility and comfort from your own space.
I’m Geeta, an Integrative Psychotherapist based in West London.
For several years, I’ve been supporting clients experiencing low moods, identity issues, trauma and difficulties in life within South Asian and Eastern cultures. My clients have come from diverse cultural, religious, and personal backgrounds, each with their own unique and complex life experiences. My work involves meeting you where you are, with compassion, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand your unique experience.
Before you decide to begin therapy with me, I’d like to share a bit of my story with you.
As an Indian woman, I was raised within a patriarchal and religious family environment that was deeply marked by trauma. From a young age, I learned to remain quiet in the house, internalising most of my thoughts and emotions. As I entered early adulthood, I found myself prioritising others’ needs, avoiding conflict, and expressing my suppressed anger toward those closest to me. Over time, I began to rely on external validation and reassurance to feel worthy, struggling to find that sense of self-worth within myself. I found it difficult to separate from my family’s expectations and the version of me they wanted me to become.
Through a deep and transformative journey in my own therapy, alongside training to become a psychotherapist, I learned where my thoughts were formed in childhood and how they shaped the person I became. I discovered that my anxiety often stemmed from fear of judgment, rejection, and not being enough. Over time, I began to understand that these feelings were not flaws within me but responses to the environment I grew up in. Therapy helped me untangle these patterns and start building a relationship with myself that felt grounded, compassionate, and authentic.
Therapy with me is a collaborative journey; together, we’ll explore your experiences and help you build awareness, confidence, and acceptance. Working with me will offer you a space to learn more about yourself and begin the process of acceptance and freedom. This work is about understanding your past experiences and how they may show up in your day-to-day life.
If this feels like the right space for you, I invite you to book a free 15-minute consultation.
